At a meeting between President Roosevelt, Bush and Vice President Henry A. Wallace on October 9, 1941, the President approved the atomic program.

– Born: February 2, (Groundhog Day) 1942 (2/2/42) in Cupertino, California, United States of America
– Died: May 31, 1967 near Boca (Boca Dam), California
– KEC followed his father’s footsteps and obtained an Engineering Degree from the University of Nevada in Reno in 1963, sharing the graduation stage with his father.  At the university he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, the ASUN Senate, Coffin and Keys, and the Engineering fraternity.  He worked for International Business Machines (IBM) as a Systems Analyst.  His first major job was installing the first computerized “Crime Computer” for the State of Nevada.  He served in the United States Army with time spent first at Fort Ord, California and later at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
– Ken graduated from Carson High School in Carson City, Nevada in March of 1959 before moving to Afghanistan for five months.  He spent most of the summer of 1962 in Seoul, Korea.
– Ken never married, but was engaged to Cheri McElliott at the time of his death, “lost in the Truckee River and presumed drowned” on May 31, 1967.
