~ This timeline post is to present the full text of the BETTY ONG ‘Analog Audio Tape’ Official Transcript dated September 12, 2001.

On September 11, 2001, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) obtained from American Airlines (AA) an Analog Audio Tape, a “re-recorded transcription (sound recording)” of audio information contained on a CD-ROM.

FBI agent [SPECIAL AGENT (SA) NAME REDACTED], located in Raleigh, North Carolina, received the Analog Audio Tape from an [UNKNOWN] American Airlines employee located at 500 Gregson Drive in Cary, North Carolina.  The Analog Audio Tape enabled the FBI to create a  second written transcript of the ‘Flight Attendant (FA) ONG’ audio data.

The data received was developed into a Federal Bureau of Investigation document on September 12, 2001.  On September 13, 2003, a PDF file version of the original document was created; adding underlining to the words flight, cockpit, and 11.  On January 26, 2007, both versions of the document, and apparently the original Analog Audio Tape were “Unclassified.”

We’re in flight, we just left Boston.  We’re up in the air.

AA Agent:
Certainly.

On September 11, 2001, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) obtained from American Airlines (AA) an Analog Audio Tape, a “re-recorded transcription (sound recording)” of audio information contained on a CD-ROM involving an Air One airphone call from [Flight Attendant (FA)] BETTY ONG.

FBI agent [SPECIAL AGENT (SA) NAME REDACTED], located in Raleigh, North Carolina, received the Analog Audio Tape from an [UNKNOWN] American Airlines employee located at 500 Gregson Drive in Cary, North Carolina.  The Analog Audio Tape was “Unclassified” on January 26, 2007.  The You Tube version linked here was uploaded on June 23, 2007.

This web page is under construction.  The identities of the early AA employees on the tape remains uncertain.

• A Boeing 767 aircraft owned by American Airlines strikes the north side of WTC 1, the North Tower of the seven building World Trade Center located in Lower Manhattan, in New York City, at 8:46 a.m. on September 11, 2001.

• Dick Oliver had apparently been assigned to cover the New York City Hall news beat.  He is accompanied by a cameraman, David Salas, and a WNYW assistant ‘Beth’.  The focal point for his ‘LIVE Lower Manhattan’ coverage is from a point near the New York City Hall, on Park Row, very near the intersection of Beekman Street. (See: footage @ 00:02:00)

• WNYW captures the moment of the Flight 11 impact on the North Tower in video footage not aired until hours later.

• At 8:46 there is a broadcast signal aberration impacting the “Fox 5” WNYW Channel 5 (New York) television broadcast signal.

This camera is filming within three (3) minutes of the aberration.  The location is unknown, but the camera location is about 45° northeast of the towers (on 2nd through 7th Avenues?).  Right picture is still shot, from the web, showing the hole after smoke turned from black to white.

Dick: “Could be something internal, there are pieces of the WTC structure sticking out.  Appears to be about the 100th floor of the South Tower of the WTC.  I hope we can get some further information from the news room up there, Jim.”

Our transmitter, which is also atop the WTC, briefly took a hit here.  If it were a plane there would be something on the ground visible.  {Not true Jim, I cannot see the ground from here, in 1945 when a plane crashed into the Empire State, perfectly clear day here, I think whatever happened came from the inside} In the 1940’s, the incident involved the Offices of the Catholic Charities…”

Note:  The broadcast mast on top of the WTC 1 North Tower did create a signal aberration when the tower was struck; the mast is mounted on top of the core, the mast appears to remain absolutely vertical in the live pictures.

• At 10:28, the WTC 1 tower collapses (structurally weakened by 10,000 gallons of burning jet fuel).  It was later speculated that the terrorists deliberately targeted a transcontinental flight because its large complement of fuel would maximize the damage it would cause.

The purpose of the following timeline is to present a list of documents prepared by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) pursuant to the 9/11 (September 11, 2015) crime investigations.  There are three crime report numbers used by the FBI.  The most common # is the one for New York, -NY-.

FBI reports are listed by the date of ‘transcription‘, an FBI term that refers to the date that the report was officially typed.  In many cases the actual interview, or source material, has an earlier date.

Pursuant to the theory of evidence collection many reports include the collection of notes, signed statements, sound recordings and other items.

FBI document transcription procedures include the use of certain FBI conventions.  The most notable of these is the ‘all caps’ presentation of a persons name (NAME).  The name of the FBI Special Agent (SA) involved is almost always [redacted] i.e., deleted from the document record.  

The FBI is not particularly adept at clearly identifying specific locations at which events occur, nor does the FBI seem particularly interested in collecting information that documents time.  A ‘telephonically‘ location reference could refer to the FBI Office location documenting the call, or to the location that was called, or from where a call was made.

Synopsis:  At the time when the World Trade Towers in New York were struck by airplanes, a group of approximately five individuals were observed filming the burning towers and apparently engaged in either self-congratulations or celebration.  This extraordinary activity caused a witness to notify authorities.  There was an immediate investigation.  This timeline presents the results of that investigation, which unofficially is ongoing.

• A male eyewitness who is painting the interior of an apartment at the Doric Apartments spots the Dancing Israelis on a nearby roof “less than 5 minutes” after the first plane hits the WTC North Tower.  The location on the parking garage roof of The Doric Apartments, 100 Manhattan Avenue, Union City, New Jersey, is a ‘unknown‘ minute drive from Urban Moving Systems, 3 West 18th Street, Weehauken, New Jersey.  See: Section 5, page 25 of the FBI Report.

• “Subsequent investigation by Newark Division Special Agents revealed a second eyewitness who reported having observed the white van in the same parking lot described by [Informant A],  This eyewitness, however, observed the van in the parking lot as early as 8:00 am on the morning of the explosions at WTC.”

• A female witness (Marie?) at 100 Manhattan Avenue spots the Israelis “high fiving” each other while watching the WTC burn.  See: Section 1 page 65 of the FBI Report.

“On 09/11/2001, [Informant] a housewife and Union City, NJ resident, that at approximately 9:00 am, 09/11/2001, [Informant] advised neighbor, called her on the telephone, to tell her that she saw smoke coming from the WTC.  In order to see the WTC more closely, [Informant] used 7 x 33 mm power binoculars to view the scene.

From the rear window of her apartment and while looking in the direction of the WTC, [Informant] observed three (3) males kneeling on the roof of a white van located in the rear parking lot of her apartment complex.  She noticed the individuals and it appeared as though they noticed her.  [Informant] described the males as white, mid-twenties, wearing short sleeves, no facial hair, no glasses, “clean-cut,” no hats, all with large builds.  Other identifying data was also provided.  [Informant] described the white van as a “box” style van which had no windows on the side; it reminded Settembrino of a telephone company style van in appearance.

[Informant] saw one of the males taking still photographs and video of the other males with the WTC in the background.  All of the males appeared to be jovial in that they smiled, hugged one another, and gave “high five’s.” (See attached photos).  As the vehicle later left [Informant] recorded the license plate as JRJ-13Y.   Later that day when she returned home, she provided the police with the information pertaining to the males.”

• Another witness states that he saw “the white van” on the parking lot roof beginning about 8:00 a.m. on September 11, 2001.

“OBSERVED THREE DARK SKIN MEN DRIVING A WHITE VAN BEARING NEW JERSEY PLATES DRIVING ON SPIRITBROOK ROAD NEAR NASHUA, NEW HAMPSHIRE AROUND 1 PM. THE DRIVER OF THE VAN APPEARED TO BE LOST. THE VAN HAD A SIGN FOR URBAN MOVING SYSTEMS.”

Furthermore, on 09/11/2001, of the Pennsylvania State Police detained a yellow Penske box truck upon the request of Newark. [Informant] inspected the vehicle and determined that the vehicle’s two (2) occupants, both identified as Israeli and Israeli nationals, were on their way to Columbus, OH.  When Newark later questioned Urban Moving Systems about the vehicle’s presence in Pennsylvania, he could not offer an explanation.  According to the moving company the two (2) occupants and their vehicle were supposed to complete a moving job in a different part of the country.

“Similarly, Newark also received reports from law enforcement officials in New England that a second vehicle, displaying markings for Urban Moving Systems, was noted to have stopped somewhere between New York and Boston on 09/11/2001 for the purpose of asking for directions to Boston, MA.  The occupants of this second Urban Moving Systems vehicle were also identified as Israeli nationals.”
